yoga for congo women: a beautiful story

I've been emotional the last hour.  The story behind Yoga for Congo Women is a powerful one.  The woman behind it is a powerful one.  I don't know where to begin.  Because of that I hope you'll read Ann's experience, in her own words, from the day of the Yoga for Congo Women event last Saturday.

It has been a challenging road for Ann, as she has single-handedly organized this event out of pure concern for the ongoing suffering in the Congo.

While setting up for the event that morning Ann writes:

"As I set up pictures of (Congolese) women that I loved, my heart settled in.  I was at peace.  It was for them.  It was worth it."
I'm grateful that I could watch along side someone who is doing something to change the world, even if in a little corner of it.

I'm so grateful for all of you that donated and participated in Yoga for Congo Women.    These are the experiences that change us.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.  Indeed, it is the only thing that even has."
