Yesterday we spent time in an enchanted forest looking for bits and pieces of it to bring home. Acorns, rocks, leaves, moss, and logs were collected. We'll be back another day for ferns and moss growing on rocks.
With plans for our own fairy garden and plans for a fairy birthday coming up, our friend's land was magical to us all. The girls would frequently stop to feel different varieties of moss, calling their sisters to come and see for themselves. So many places on our trail could have housed a fairy or two: decaying tree stumps, fern-covered paths, mossy rocks with sunlight peering overtop...
With logs in my car and scraps of bark, my mind is already starting to work on what and where our own little garden could be created. Where will our fairies be best suited??
