old and new things

A crocheted turquoise owl.  Given by a dear friend from her great grandmother in Japan who made it.  It was made to be a towel holder.  It fits perfectly in Ainsleigh's owl room.

One of the season's last yard sales and one of the first we've actually visited.  Vintage books, a basket (we'll find some use out of it) and my favorite, the floral tin.  The best find was an outdoor table, two chairs, and a bench  for $50!  We've enjoying meal time outdoors even more (when it's not raining.)

Thank you, IKEA.  I'm finally getting rid of one hundred plastic plates, cups, and bowls (notice dishwasher).  The girls are older and ready for something special and real for meals, and so is the Mama.  IKEA made it super cheap to make the total switch.

And last but not least, the most beautiful "new" in the county.  Baby Gefen, my brother's second son.  And if you know my family, you know boys are a hot commodity.

Welcome to the big, beautiful world.
